Wellington to Napier to Gisborne to Rotoura

After catching the 3 hour $250NZ Ferry between the islands we were in Wellington. That price included our small campervan. There are skateparks everywhere on the North Island and I've got some crazy pictures I'll be posting soon. There are also camp sites everywhere. We have been camping and using the communial showers on the the campground every few days. We have a propane stove and a ton of soup. Last night we built a fire on the beach and used hot stones to cook sausage. We are in Napier now heading toward Gisborne.

We ended up staying on Sponge Bay road in Gisborne. I have never seen stars so clear before. We were on a huge overlook and you could see the Milky Way and every other Zodiac sign. It was unreal. It felt like we were in an I-max theatre or something. Last night we camped near Rotoura. We made a huge fire and carried this monster log probably over 1 mile back to our site. Now we are going to check out Rotoura today and then head to Raglan. It smells like rotten eggs because of all the thermal activity here.
