Tornado devastates SouthEastern North Carolina
Large trees were snapped in half by the 200 mph wind.
This brick house was totally demolished.
Automobiles were used as wrecking balls.
This tornado ripped through Riegelwood, North Carolina
on November 16th, 2006 at 6:37 am. It happened on Highway 87
a few miles before it intersects with Highway 11. This is a route I
sometimes frequent in the summertime. At least 8 people lost
their lives and several remain in critical condition. Scotty G,
Fletcher and me went to investigate.
